The 4th International Symposium on Flood Defence will be held in Toronto, Canada on 6-8 May, 2008 by Institute for Catastrophic Loss Reduction with the theme of Managing Flood Risk, Reliability & Vulnerability. More than 400 experts on flood defence will get together to offer a good opportunity and platform of information exchange and knowledge sharing. Welcome to join in the meeting, relevant issues are now noticed as follows:

1. China Institute of Water Resources and Hydropower Research will be responsible for the attendance affairs. After ISFD4, participants will be organized to further inspect catastrophic loss reduction in Canada.
2. Participants please fill the application form in the annex and email to: wangjianyue@iwhr.com before December 15, 2007.
3. Fees
⑴ Registration Fees (including coffee breaks, materials and CD disk): ￥3600 before March 15, 2008, ￥4000 after that.
⑵Accommodation Costs: ￥1600/Person. Day. Double Room (￥1440/Person. Day. Single Room), three/four-star hotel.
⑶Study Tour Fees after the meeting: ￥6500/Person.
⑷Other costs including air tickets, passport and visa fees, overseas insurance, food, traffic, incidentals: ￥17000
Rough estimation of total fees: ￥36000, refund for any overpayment or a supplemental payment for any deficiency after the meeting, and may float up or down according to applicants number.
